Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces a new surface-mount Power Metal Strip® resistor designed to save space in automotive, industrial, and consumer applications. The Vishay Dale WSHM2818 combines a high 7 W power rating with extremely low resistance values down to 1 mΩ in the compact 2818 case size.

  • A proprietary processing technique produces extremely low resistance values

The Vishay Dale WSHM2818’s high power-to-footprint-size ratio allows designers to save board space and create smaller end products by replacing larger resistors with similar power capability and multiple devices with lower power ratings.
