Website provides complete product information to German engineers and OEM customers
Honeywell (NYSE:HON) Sensing and Control (S&C) has introduced a new, full-featured German-language website to help German design engineers and OEM customers locate the right sensors and switches for their applications—all in their native language.
Sensing.honeywell.de features the same content to be found on the English-language version. With more than 100,000 translated web pages, the new website uses a robust translation memory database and on-the-fly translations to deliver new product information, landing pages, search results and downloadable datasheets for all S&C products serving the industrial, medical, transportation, test and measurement and aerospace sectors.
“The objective of our new website is to meet our German customers’ needs,” said Remi Volpe, vice president and general manager Honeywell Sensing and Control EMEA. “The German market is very important to us and we need to provide a high level of functionality and product specific content in native language for the design engineers. The new website is intuitive, efficient and easy to use, and it provides a consistent way for our customers to get real-time information.”
“Honeywell is a global business, and this investment in technology shows our commitment to serving global customers more efficiently,” said Kim Anderberg, global director of ePresence and marketing communications. “We’re excited about this new development for design engineers worldwide.” Future plans include translation of the S&C website into additional languages, especially in high-growth regions.
