Vishay – New WSLT2726 and WSLT4026 Surface-Mount Power Metal Strip Current Sense Resistors

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces the industry’s first surface-mount, 4-terminal Power Metal Strip current sensing resistors in the compact 2726 and 4026 case sizes to provide an operating temperature range to +275 °C.

The Vishay Dale WSLT2726 and WSLT4026 combine their high-temperature performance with 3 W power ratings and extremely low resistance values down to 0.002 Ω.

  • Solid metal nickel-chrome alloy resistive element with low TCR (< 20 ppm/ºC)
  • Allow for the design of high-power circuits featuring the smallest and most accurate resistors for high-performance end products
  • High-temperature capability allows for use in harsh, high-temperature environments without sacrificing power rating or electrical performance
  • A proprietary processing technique produces extremely low resistance values

Benefits:

  • Available in 2726 and 4026 case sizes
  • High-temperature performance to +175 °C
  • 4-terminal design
  • Tight tolerances of 1.0 %
  • Extremely low resistance values ranging from 0.002 Ω to 0.005 Ω
  • High 3 W power ratings
  • All-welded construction
  • Very low inductance of 0.5 ηH to 5 ηH
  • Low thermal EMF (< 3 μV/°C)
  • Available with AEC-Q200 qualification
  • Lead (Pb)-free and RoHS-compliant
  • Conform to Vishay “Green” standards

Applications:

  • Current sensing, voltage division, and pulse applications, including switching and linear power supplies, instruments, power amplifiers, and shunts
  • Automotive electronic controls such as engine, audio, climate, and anti-lock brakes controls and electric power steering
  • Industrial controls, including down-hole test / measurement equipment for oil / gas well drilling
