F&S PicoCOMA5 – ARM based Module
For Industry and Medicine
As all other PicoCOMs, the PicoCOMA5 has a size of only 40mm x 50mm. This makes it a perfect solution for hand-held products with TFT display in industrial (-20°C – +85°C is available) and medical devices.
High efficiancy with the Cortex-A5 & Cortex-M4 CPUs
The PicoCOMA5 runs on a high-performance Freescale Dual-Core Vybrid CPU – Cortex™-A5 with 400 (500)MHz and Cortex™-M4 with 133 (167)MHz.
The module can offer a large number of interfaces: Ethernet, 3x Serial, USB 2.0 Host, USB 2.0 Device, I²C, SPI, CAN 2.0, I/ O, Audio (Line IN/ OUT), SD-Card and touch panel. Alternatively there is a PicoCOMA5 version with 2x Ethernet (no Audio). The pin assignment of the 80 poles plug connector can be found in our hardware documenation.
An important point in development was to offer many standardized interfaces, all supported by the available OS. Therefore the user can realize his communication jobs in software without in-depth knowledge of hardware.
