Everlight Infrared Switch for ofiice equipment
Everlight produces the largest volume of Photointerrupter in the industry. A wide lineup is available, from Transmissive/Slotted Interrupters (Sensors) to optical reflexive switches. Photointerrupters consist of an infrared emitting diode and an NPN silicon phototransistor, encased side-by-side on converging optical axis in a black thermoplastic housing. For the transmissive type, the photoemitter normally illuminates the photodetector, but an opaque object can be inserted in a slot between them so as to break the beam. For the reflexive type, the photoemitter normally doesn´t illuminate the photodetector, but when an reflecting object close to ITR , phototransistor receives the reflecting radiation.
