DFI – Ultra Low Power Industrial Boards
DFI (a leading provider offering a wide range of embedded products for industrial applications) has expanded its embedded board product portfolio with the latest Intel® Pentium®/Celeron® N3000 product family to target on the energy-saving IoT-based and mobile applications in retail systems, thin clients, and medical devices. Based on Intel’s new 14nm packing technology, DFI’s industrial motherboards are able to deliver ultra-low power consumption (average of only 5 watts) and provide better computing and graphic performance compared to previous generations. In order to meet the needs of diversified vertical markets, DFI is utilizing this highly integrated platform to offer a broad selection of form factors that includes the following: Thin Mini-ITX with wide voltage, COM Express and Qseven modules, 3.5” Single Board Computers, and DFI’s first small 2.5” Pico-ITX.
- Mini-ITX (BW171/173)
- SBC (BW551 – 3.5″ , BW051 – 2.5″)
- COM Express (BW968 – Compact)
- Qseven(BW700)
Generational Improvements in Graphics and I/O Support
The industrial-grade boards powered by Intel® Pentium®/Celeron® N3000 processor are equipped with enhanced Intel® Gen 8 graphics which provides double graphics throughput than Gen 7, improved media acceleration, and three independent displays with up to 4K resolution (3840×2160). Furthermore, the platform allows higher data processing rates through better I/O support like SATA 3.0 interface for faster storage capability and up to 4 USB 3.0 ports enabling real-time responses and transmission targeting on growing smart solutions.
Ideal Solutions for Fanless Applications
DFI’s new compact boards and Computer-On-Modules feature excellent performance at low-power consumption, low-profile fanless design with high reliability, and rich I/O connectivity which seamlessly connects peripherals to satisfy a wide range of requirements. As a result, they are the perfect solutions for energy-saving and graphics-demanding applications such like industrial automation, healthcare, POS systems, digital signage, and slim client PCs.
