There are specific applications where a tact switch is held in the actuated position (state) for extended periods of time. This typically happens in applications where switches are designed as detect configurations for anti-tampering conditions.
The KSC and KSU Series offer a reliable solution for these applications. C&K has introduced some design changes that allow specific configurations to be permanently activated and offer a very short recovery time in the range of 250ms. This is achieved without sacrificing small form factor and keeping other features associated with the specific tact switch.
