Applications/ Advantages & Selling Points
Featuring a robust construction with conformal epoxy coating, Radial Leaded Automotive TransGuard® Varistors are ideal for use in a variety of harsh automotive and industrial applications, including: inductive switching, DC motors, water and fuel pumps, and relays, amongst others. Radial Automotive Varistors provide reliable bi-directional transient voltage protection in on-state, as well as excellent EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state in single component with compact height and thickness specification. Parts are designed for use over operating temperature from -55°C to +125°C and are qualified according to the AEC-Q200 for automotive applications. This new Radial Automotive Varistor Series provides AVX customers with a broader range of voltage and energy rating options in radial leaded configuration for automotive as well as industrial applications.
