Kontron expands new K38XX motherboard family

Kontron K38XX motherboard family includes already one ATX and three µATX motherboards.

The new K3851-R is a high-performance ATX motherboard with extensive expansion options. Following the recent launch of three µATX motherboards, this release expands the Kontron K38XX motherboard product family based on the latest 12^th Gen Intel® Core™ i series processors (LGA1700 with 125W TDP). Designed and manufactured in Germany, the new motherboards underpin Kontron’s status as a leading provider of IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT).

K3851-R ATX – High performance for specific industrial applications

Kontron’s new K3851-R motherboard is particularly designed for high-performance applications with a need for high expandability. Equipped with the highly performant Intel^® R680E chipset and support for Intel® Alder Lake CPUs, the K3851-R provides high functionality and addresses the special requirements of certain demanding markets. The ATX motherboard is suitable for use in an extended temperature range from -10° C to +60° C and for 24/7 continuous operation. State-of-the-art features like DDR5, PCI Express Gen5 and TSN or Realtime (TCC) are supported as well. Samples of Kontron’s K3851-R are available from September 2022.

Kontron µATX motherboards – K3841-Q, K3842-Q and K3843-B

The three Kontron µATX motherboards reflect the latest technology, by using hybrid CPU technology with Big Little concept, DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen5. All motherboards are equipped with two M.2 connectors and integrated Intel® TPM 2.0 for Windows 11 support. The 125W CPU TDP includes configurable Thermal Design Power with limiting option. Intel® Hybrid CPUs allow both cores, such as Atom® and Core™ i, to be used together for even higher performance. The K38XX µATX motherboards are available since June.
