Network Isolation Transformer HIT-1000
The network-separation device HIT-1000 (Hyper Isolation Transformer) of Sumida is a high-performance isolation transformer in order to prevent operators and patients, which are connected to electronic medical equipment, from possible electric shocks.
Function
This transformer (designed according IEC60601-1-1 for medical electrical equipment) interrupts the electriccurrent-flow in case of a malfunction due to the separation of the electrical-potential between medical devices. In addition, HIT-1000 reduces the common-mode noise generated in LAN networks which prevents malfunctions or failures in medical devices in general.
