Vishay – WSHM2818 Power Metal Strip® Resistor Saves Space With 7 W Rating and Resistance to 1 mΩ in 2818 Case Size
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces a new surface-mount Power Metal Strip® resistor designed to save space in automotive, industrial, and consumer applications. The Vishay Dale WSHM2818 combines a high 7 W power rating with extremely low resistance values down to 1 mΩ in the compact 2818 case size.
- Advanced construction incorporates improved thermal management
- Solid metal nickel-chrome or manganese-copper alloy resistive element with low
TCR (< 20 PPM/ºC) - A proprietary processing technique produces extremely low resistance values
The Vishay Dale WSHM2818’s high power-to-footprint-size ratio allows designers to save board space and create smaller end products by replacing larger resistors with similar power capability and multiple devices with lower power ratings.
