Liteon Optoelectronics new digital RGBW color detector
Liteon Optoelectronics introduced new digital RGBW detector. The Color detector is a Photodetector sensitivity to Red, Green, Blue and White region spectrum in miniature SMD package. Liteon Color detector series product is the good effective and low cost solution to white color balance, color detection and color management applications. The new digital RGBW detector is an integrated low voltage I2C ambient light sensor (ALS) and color sensor (CS) in a single miniature chip led lead-free surface mount package. With the advanced RGB color sensor, this sensor converts light (Red, Green, Blue and White) intensity to a digital output signal capable of direct I2C interface. The ALS provides a linear response over a wide dynamic range of 1:3000000, which is well suited to applications under very low or bright ambient brightness.
The Sensor has a programmable interrupt with hysteresis to response to events and that removes the need to poll the sensor for a reading which improves system efficiency. This CMOS design and factory-set on time trimming capability ensure minimal sensor-to sensor variations for ease of manufacturability to the end customers.
