PCM-9310 – 3.5” Single Board Computer with new cost-effective, ultra-low power Quadcore AtomTM X5-E8000
Advantech, a leading embedded computing solution provider, today announced the release of its new cost-effective, ultra-low power and fanless 3.5” Single Board Computer —PCM-9310. PCM-9310 can be equipped with new Intel® Pentium® N3710, Celeron® N3160/N3060 and the new drop-in compatible Intel® AtomTM X5-E8000 single-chip processor. All processors formerly known as “Braswell” are built with the latest Intel® 14-nm process technology and a 7 year life cycle span from Intel® providing long life manufacturing support.
The AtomTM X5-E8000 is a power-efficient Intel® quad-core Atom processor with a thermal design power (TDP) of 5 W only and offering better performance with lower power consumption. The integrated, new graphics core boasts displays resolutions up to 4K2K and supports state-of-the-art hardware accelerators that perform well beyond previous platforms. So the PCM-9310 is suitable for low-power and/or graphic intense application fields such as medical, digital signage and any kind of user interfaces in manufacturing or process control systems.
PCM-9310 features Intel® gen 8 graphics integrated in the CPU, with up to 16EUs, and delivering 2x the graphics performance compared with the previous platform. With the new graphics core, this Single Board Computer provides rich display interfaces such as VGA, LVDS, eDP, HDMI and can support three simultaneous, independent display outputs. Up to 3840 x 2160 (4K) resolutions satisfy high-quality display inquiries. It’s also the first low-power platform that supports an H.265/HEVC hardware decoder that accelerates 4K playback.
