Microminiature SMT Top Actuated Tact Switch for Home Automation, IoT and E-Cigarettes
Some applications don’t require ultra-performance levels for their switches. What they do need is an economically priced product that retains rigid quality control in order to ensure that it will work reliably over time.
C&K’s new PTS526 series is the latest addition to the PTS range of tactile switches. It offers a 5.2 x 5.2 mm footprint and an adjustable thickness of 0.8 mm up to 2.0 mm. Its large activation surface allows for easier integration with an operating strength of either 1.6 N, 2.6 N or 3.2N. Depending on the chosen version it has an operating life ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 actuations.
The PTS526 is manufactured in surface-mount technology (SMT) format and uses a hard actuator, ensuring that it can be fully integrated into standard processes with no need for an additional interface button. It offers an integrated ground pin on some versions and ESD protection to easily route unwanted electrical overload.
