More Connectivity with the new ARM Cortex XMC1400 microcontrollers
Rutronik announces the new member of the XMC family. The XMC1400 comes with more pins and additional connectivity features. With up to 64 Pins, higher CPU Speed and better timer performance this is the ideal addition to the current Infineon ARM Cortex lineup. The XMC1400 comes with 4 subseries and in 4 different packages (pin-compatible with XMC1300).
Key Features:
- Higher CPU and timer performance (48 / 96MHz)
- Designed for best in-class performance:
MATH Co-processor featuring CORDIC, 96MHz PWM timer dedicated to motor or engine control with dead time and Hall & Encoder I/F
- Designed for best in-class performance:
- More connectivity (On-chip & external)
- Higher pin-count packages (up to 64-pin)
- Packages:LQFP64; VQFN40; VQFN48; VQFN64
- CAN and 5,5V and control peripherals
- On-chip connectivity of peripherals offloads CPU and improves real time performance
- New timer option taylored to combustion engine control
- 1MS ADC with additional internal reference multiple signal processing features
- IEC 60730 class B compliant LIB
Availability of XMC1400
Samples of the series XMC1400 will be available in Q4 2015. Start of volume production is scheduled for Q2 2016.
XMC1404-Q064X0200 AA – early engineering samples can be ordered in September 2015. Rutronik Part Number: ICMCU23586
XMC1400 Development Support
As all members of the XMC families, the XMC1400 will be supported by Infineon’s free, integrated development platform DAVE(tm). Furthermore, Infineon collaborates with various third party tool partners who are ready to support all XMC series.
