The new Kontron KSwitch Family – A Key to Industrial Communication
Kontron has launched its new KSwitch portfolio for the Industrial Automation market, which provides a lot of options to enable wired Ethernet connectivity at the Edge.
With 11 different series, all developed for harsh industrial environmental demands, Kontron is offering a wide range of possible configurations. From Rack-mountable to DIN-Rail-mountable solutions, with or without PoE injection, it’s a thorough portfolio for real professional industrial purposes.
The new single-chip design offers more reliability and cost-efficiency in smaller mechanical dimensions, combined with a performance increase and a reduction of the power consumption, which pays back over the product’s life-cycle.
From the low-cost unmanaged solutions up to the web-smart managed types, all models can be used in high-temperature-range environments. With its standard RJ45 connectors and SFPs, the selection and usage of cable and fiber lines is as easy as possible.
