STMicroelectronics – STEVAL-IDI005V1
Coin-cell battery-powered sensor board for sub-GHz wireless sensor networks
A wireless sensor node in a Smart Home or Smart Things application – like thermostat and smoke detector systems or a smart remote control – needs to be as small as possible and frugal in its energy requirements so it can use a very small battery too. The STEVAL-IDI005V1 wireless sensor board provides motion and environmental sensing with certified sub-GHz connectivity – based on an SP1ML-868 module – in a tiny 30 x 30 mm form factor and running on a CR2032 coin-cell battery. It can communicate with the STEVAL-SP1ML868 using the P²P AT command set. The board can be programmed through an external 5-pin SWD connector.
Additional tools for exploring wireless sensor networks:
- Pair it with the STEVAL-SP1ML868 USB dongle and build a peer-to-peer connection to retrieve data from the on-board sensors.
- You can also use your Android smartphone or tablet to access all the capabilities of the STEVAL-IDI005V1 using our STSW-IDI005 Android app.
