Nordic nRF9160 – specialized for low power cellular IoT applications
Cellular IoT technology enables many new applications. The spectrum of potential target applications grows even further with putting ultra-low power into the mix.
Nordic is offering its first low-power cellular device for the Internet of Things – the nRF9160. Engineered from inception to excel in regard to energy efficiency and security whilst simultaneously bringing advanced application performance and possibilities to cellular IoT. The unprecedented level of integration bringing LTE-M, NB-IoT, GNSS, all RF front end (RFFE), and power management into a very small package the nRF9160 makes single-chip solutions a real possibility in many cases.
Nordic nRF9160 System-in-Package (SiP)
Nordic’s nRF9160 is a compact System-in-Package with integrated LTE-M/NB-IoT modem and GPS. It makes the latest low power LTE technology and advanced processing and security accessible, and easy to use, for a wide range of single device low power cellular IoT (cIoT) designs. The nRF9160 is the most compact, complete and energy-efficient cellular IoT solution on the market.
