Infineon DEV_KIT_NGC1081 – Sensing the world via NFC & Energy Harvesting
The Infineon DEV_KIT_NGC1081 is a Development Kit for engineers who want to use the NFC tag-side controller NGC1081. The NGC1081 is a microcontroller with integrated NFC connectivity and energy harvesting functions. It allows for the development of miniaturized smart devices that can be controlled and powered by a personal mobile phone. It can operate in passive mode, where it communicates wirelessly and harvests energy from the NFC field as well as in battery mode as a self-contained sensing node. The DEV_KIT_NGC1081 is a quick demo of battery-free sensing applications and is compatible with Sensor 2Go shields (various sensors from Infineon that can easily be plugged in to the board). Next to battery-free sensing nodes, it can be used e.g. for smart NFC thermostats, for NFC programming interface of electronic devices or NFC sensing applications in healthcare.
