Gate Drivers & Control ICs for BLDC Motors
More and more auxillary drives in a vehicle are moving from brushed DC to brushless DC (BLDC) motors. BLDC motors need special circuitry that generates multiple phase voltages and respective gate drive signals for the power semiconductors in the power stage. Most common are 3-phase systems. This article lists some automotive BLDC control ICs for a motor controller.
