Side Actuated Detect Switch with the Smallest Footprint
The demand for micro miniaturization of detect switches on medical devices as well as consumer electronic products continues to increase. In some instances such as smart inhalers, switches need to fit into applications which are no bigger than the typical hanheld palm of a child.
The new FDSD series is the smallest footprint in C&K’s detect switch offering. FDSD is a surface mount and can be mounted on a small PCB suitable for tight detection areas while offering a significant range of travel. The added wide angle of detection also provides detection in corner movements. Its small size makes it practically unnoticeable.
The FDSD is available in Normally Open SPST circuit with an operating force up to 40 gf maximum and it comes in 2 versions: bended or flat terminations. It has an operating life up to 50,000 cycles.
