An electrolytic capacitor is a liquid capacitor with a scratched anode aluminium foil, liquid electrolyte and another aluminium foil.
Rutronik is offering various types and styles from several manufacturers for example standard E-Cap’s in 85°C and 105°C with 1,000/2,000h life-time up to high voltage/high ripple/high temperature and low ESR parts in SMD, Radial, Axial, Snap-In and Screw Type style.
Based on the actual requirement coming from the market, the development of higher reliability E-Cap’s has mainly gone into the direction of higher temperature and higher ripple current to achieve longer lifetimes of the complete application.
