C&K – JS Series Slide switch with smaller footprint

and finding it hard to fit switches on it?
Some applications need switches that have a minimized footprint on the PCB because of the small size of the application or the tight space available. That shouldn’t impact the quality of the switches which also need to be robust enough and provide reliable switching.
C&K has continued to redesign and develop new switches to accommodate this trend by offering the JS slide switches available in a smaller package size with J bend terminals. The original version of JS had a gull wing style terminal that protruded outside the switch body causing the footprint on the PCB to be wider than the switch body and taking up precious space for other components. With the new J bend option, the footprint has been reduced by 50% on vertical models and 25% on right angle as the actuator still protrudes from one side even though the J leads are now under the switch. The JS series feature high temp plastics for the actuator and base allowing it to be IR reflow compatible to 260 degrees C.
