New AIROC CYW5557x Triband Wi-Fi 6/6E + Bluetooth® 5.3 Combo
The AIROC™ CYW5557x Family is a Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E plus Bluetooth 5.3 combo chip family, which offers solutions with both 1×1 SISO and 2×2 MIMO configurations. It is a perfect fit for use cases like multichannel audio/video streaming, low-latency interactive video and other high-throughput applications. With enhanced power efficiency the AIROC™ Wi-Fi 6/6E are also ideal for battery-operated applications or small form factor designs where thermal control may be a concern.
Infineon’s AIROC™ Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth® CYW5557x combo family expands Wi-Fi technology into 802.11ax including tri-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz) capability. Operating in the three frequency bands, these radios interoperate with both new and older generations of access points and client devices. The newly-opened 6GHz band (Wi-Fi 6E) offers a large number of channels in a relatively uncrowded frequency, enabling low latency and high performance for the most demanding applications. Solutions include both 1×1 SISO and 2×2 MIMO configurations. Reliable operation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® is ensured by Infineon’s advanced Coexistence that minimizes performance degradation and connectivity issues when the two radios operate concurrently.
