STMicroelectronics – Evaluate ST’s compact solution for single-cell Li-Ion battery management ideal for wearables
The STEVAL-ISB032V1 is an evaluation board for charging single-cell Li-Ion batteries based on ST’s STNS01 linear battery charger. Input voltage comes from an USB connector and two outputs are available: one for the main load generated with a 1% precise LDO regulator of 3.1 V with 100 mA capability and a second one for the system obtained from input (or battery) voltage. The STNS01 features a CC/CV (linear) charging algorithm with programmable fast-charge current. The power switchover between input and battery is automatic and so are protections against over-charge/discharge/current/temperature conditions.
