4D Systems gen4 FTDI display modules

The gen4-FT81x (FTDI) display modules are embedded SPI displays from 4D Systems. They feature a resistive or capacitive touch panel with optional cover glass and integrated FTDI FT812 or FT813 video engine.

These are powerful SPI displays which enable a SPI host to be connected directly to them, providing a powerful set of graphics features to the host using the on board FTDI FT81x video engine.

The displays provide four-in-one functionality: a TFT LC display, audio with amplifier enabling, restitive or capacitive touch screen, and an integrated video engine. This combination built directly into the screen allows for simple integration into a number of applications.

The FT81x video engine runs the FTDI version of EVE (Embedded Video Engine), which targets high quality graphics displays with widget support, designed to offload the host processor and provision of a variety of graphics features.
