Light is productive: Osram High Power Laser Bars for Industrial Applications

Opto Semiconductor laser bars are the centerpiece of most of today’s industrial laser systems. Whether direct material processing or optical pumping of fiber lasers, disc lasers or classical solid-state lasers, the laser bar is the key component for the initial conversion of electrical energy into light. With lifetimes of more than 30,000 hours OSRAM Opto Semiconductors laser bars enable systems with extraordinary lifetimes, allowing you to offer attractive and more competitive warranties to your customers. Our wide portfolio of 10 mm-bars covers a wavelength

range from 790 nm to 1060 nm and output powers up to 500 W. All products are available with typical efficiencies of > 55 % at 808 nm and 65 % or above at > 900 nm.

The portfolio is complemented by our special mini bar series that allows efficient fi ber coupling with simplified optic thanks to the very low divergence and tailored chip design.

Tailored Mini Bars

  • SPL BF-series: 10 % fill factor design with 100 μm emitter size, 5 emitters
  • SPL BZ-series: 20 % fill factor design with 100 μm emitter size, 7 emitters
  • Output power up to 10 W per Emitter
  • Available in the wavelength range from 915 nm to 1060 nm

Low Fill Factor CW Bars

  • SPL BZ-series: 20 % fill factor design with 100 μm emitter size
  • SPL BM-series: 30 % fill factor design with 150 μm emitter size
  • Output power levels from 40 W to 80 W CW
  • Available in the wavelength range from 808 nm to 1060 nm

High Power CW Bars

  • SPL BK-series: 50 % fill factor design with 200 μm emitter size
  • Output power levels from 60 W to 200 W CW
  • Available in the wavelength range from 808 nm to 1060 nm

High Power QCW Bars

  • SPL BY-series: 80 % fill factor design for QCW operation
  • Output power levels from 250 W to 500 W QCW
  • Available at 808 nm, 880 nm, 940 nm and 980 nm
